I don't know if it is a virus or not but I've run some scans with a free trial of CA from the microsoft website and everything seemed ok. I have some basic skil in computers, I've managed problems before with my games however I've never encountered something that affected ALL of them at once. I'd surmise that it's because since this a multiple game problem they view at as something to do with my computer and thus not their problem. I've tried multiple system restores and posting the game's forum but it appears that help there is not forthcoming. The problem is that now it seems to have spread to all of my games making any and all of them unplayable. I moved one of pieces to intiate a real time battle, and then the loading screen came up and the bar went to about half and then I got a CTD with the message "Medieval 2 Total War has suffered an unspecified error and will now be shut down." I tried repeatedly to play the game but got the same message each and every time. I was playing Medieval 2 Total War and was on the campaign map. But I'm concerned about doing that so I decided to come here.Īnyway this is my problem, I recently encountered an issue on the 22nd of November. Ok I'm bordering on absolute desperation right now, pitiful as that may sound but I seriously have no idea how to correct this other than just having my Computer vendor wipe my computer and reinstall everything.
